Race Team
Ages:  7+
Class times:  Once or twice a week per schedule from 1 pm - 4 pm
Program cost:  $250 one time charge

• Class will be open to those young sailors over the age of 7 who have an interest in expanding their sailing skills by participating in sail racing/ regattas.
• Participant should have already completed a learn to sail and an intermediate sailing class at the sailing school or equivalent.
• Members of the race team will be approved by the lead instructor.
• Members of the race team are expected to participate in at least one Regatta sponsored by the Western Michigan Youth Sailing Association.
• Parents may have to assist in transportation to the Regatta event.
• Class will focus on an introduction to racing techniques and racing between fellow students over a pre-set course with like boats will be arranged.
• Instruction will be in Opti and 420’s.

Members of the Race team must be club members.
